My research investigates how urban policy and economic theory impacts when, where, and how dancers make livable wages in the global city of Chicago, Illinois. My M.S. research looked at how dancers experienced precarity unevenly amidst the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic. My PhD research will be informed by some of that data to understand how key companies funding schemas operate within the global city framework.
